When I was a cub reporter on my local paper, my desk along with it’s avalanche of paperwork was next to the photographers’ desk.
Which made my job all the more exciting. And also, all the more stressful.
For if there is one thing you can rely on photographers to do, that is capture endless photographs of you in embarrassing situations. And if you’re sat next to them, well, you’re done for.
These were taken back in my 20s. Posted all over the newsroom with equally embarrassing captions underneath. Yes, yes, marvel at the earrings, the Count Duckula fan club and no, I have NO idea whose baby that was!
It’s a good job I have a very good sense of humour is all I can say.
