There is an awful lot of dog walking and general outdoorsiness in this house.
Wellies are as essential as school shoes.
And when a company asks if you’d like to try out some of their wellies you bite their hand right off.
So many thanks to Jakes Shoes for the ‘gogs Mia and I have been sent. I had a pair of navy Hunters, Mia had a pair of black Bogs (they do come in a variety of colours, but there was NO WAY she was having ‘girl’ wellies).
And boy have we tested them out.
The Bogs wellies are just excellent. The neoprene sides, chunky soles and thermal properties make them ideal for kids. They’re not cheap, but when your child spends as much time in wellies as mine do, they’re worth the investment.
Mia tested their waterproof qualities to the maximum while wading downstream in a river and are apparently comfort tested to -30°F. We haven’t tested those properties out . . .
My wellies, well, they’re Hunters aren’t they? I look like the poshest person on the dog walk.
