The Gallery: Week 100

Bring out the bunting. Throw confetti and cake and shout hooray!
Hello and welcome to week 100 of The Gallery.

What a lovely big round number.
This feature has always been about encouraging and supporting those who love to take photographs. It’s also been about encouraging people to take more photographs.
It was always supposed to give us all a platform to share and enjoy and go ‘ooo’ and ‘ahhh’.
And the people who have joined in over the 100 themes I’ve run have been just amazing. Some, I know, have never missed a theme – that’s some feat!

And so to this week. The theme is: Picture Postcard.

As ever, interpret the theme any way you like – the idea is for it to be a photo which wouldn’t look out of place on the front of a postcard – or indeed a greeting card . . .  because . . .
. . .  As a little reward for being so wonderful and supporting me in this venture and making it such a great place to hang out, I have a little something for one person this week.

You can turn your photographs into greetings cards.
Like this. These are my photos as cards, courtesy of the people at Moo (and it is a TOTALLY accident that that is the photo at the front when I took a picture of them!)
I absolutely love them. The number of times I’ve handed over my cash for a card and thought, but I can take one like that; better than that even!

They couldn’t be easier to create and they look fabulous – plus they now create a great talking point when I send one and it reads: Photography by Tara Cain on the back. In my mind’s eye the recipient does a jaw to the floor moment in awe . . .  Ahem.

So, how would you like some of your favourite photos made into greetings cards?
All you have to do is join in The Gallery this week. And our favourite entry will be a winner. Come back here on Wednesday to link up your entry and show us what you’ve come up with.

If you want to join in with The Gallery and showcase your photos, come back on Wednesday and when my Gallery post goes up, add a link to your post on the Linky below mine.
The link stays open until the following Tuesday so you have plenty of time to join in.
Remember, The Gallery isn’t about technically brilliant photos. It’s about rediscovering photos; both old and new.
It’s about sparking your imagination, being inspiring – and inspiring others.
And absolutely ANYONE can join in.

Also, if you’re linking up to The Gallery then try to visit as many of the other entries as you can to see what they’ve come up with. Say hi, discover new people, welcome them in when they discover you.

You will get out of this what you put into it.

If you’re new here and want to find out what The Gallery is all about and how to enter visit here.
