The bits of Alton Towers you don’t normally see photographed

I love theme parks, I really do. But in the rain? On a dull day in the cold? Not so much.
Of course the children are all “did it rain?” with that look on their faces like I’ve just made up the most outrageous lie.
So we journeyed to Alton Towers, home of scary rides and picturesque gardens, courtesy of Mr Kipling (or in this case Mrs Kipling) as part of a campaign to get families together this Easter.

The fact that my lovely blog friend Laura was also going with her family made it a must in our diary.

So here is our day. There were big rides and fun stuff abound, but that’s not what I like photographing.
Also my 9 year old went on some creepy rollercoaster ride called Th13teen which looked ruddy awful, but he came off all “s’all right. Nothing really”. My too cool for school pre-teen!
