This weekend is rather a black day in the world as we mark the tenth anniversary of a truly terrible event. One which changed the world.
But I say let’s not dwell on the sadness, the bitterness, the hate.
Let’s show how wonderful the world is. How amazing we are and can be.
And so as the world marks 9/11 let’s look for the good. Let’s shine a bright light.
This week’s Gallery theme is: A Happy Memory.
It’s as simple as that.
And to reward you for making such a sterling effort, I have a most wonderful prize on offer.
These beautiful alphabet letters are works of art from The Little Picture Company, an online store selling art for children.
The limited edition prints look like they hark back to old fashioned story books.
The letters A through to Z are available and the winner of this week’s Gallery will get the word of their choice made from the letters. A name, a favourite word – whatever takes your fancy.
The artwork is printed on bamboo paper with archival vegetable-based inks – so they are made to last as a keepsake.
The letters are completely exclusive to the little Picture Company and not available anywhere else.
Remember, the prize is for an unframed, original print so you can mount and frame them yourself to suit.
The Gallery isn’t about technically brilliant photos. It’s about rediscovering photos; both old and new.
It’s about finding excuses to use them again, sparking your imagination, inspiring.
And absolutely ANYONE can join in.
Come back on Wednesday to add your link when The Gallery post goes up. Then visit as many of the other entries as you can to see what they’ve come up with.
The link stays open for a week so it doesn’t matter if you can’t post on Wednesday.
You will get out of this what you put into it.
