The Gallery: Week 31 – with prizes!

The+Gallery The Gallery: Week 31 with prizes!Hello and welcome to week 31 of The Gallery.

Firstly an apology to all those who ended up humming ‘Here Come the Girls’ all night after last week’s theme!
But there were some great takes on the prompt in there, from friends and family to animals, mustachioed women and even an amazing and inspirational post about a blogger’s boobs!

This week I’m asking you to delve into your photograph albums – be they dusty or digital.
This week’s theme is: Your favourite photo. And why.

I ran a Favourite Photo Meme on this same subject back in January and it was HUGELY successful. I mean it spread further and wider than I could have ever imagined.
And I even pulled every single one of those photos (actually, that’s a lie, I pulled together all the ones I knew about – 77 in total) into an online photo album that still gives me goosebumps when I look at it.

Take a look: You’ll find many of your favourite bloggers in there and may even discover a few new ones. You may even see your photo in there!
And if you did join in before and it’s STILL your favourite photo that’s fine too, just reuse it.

But that’s not all.
This week The Gallery is offering prizes.

Art+collage+1 The Gallery: Week 31 with prizes!

Art+collage+2 The Gallery: Week 31 with prizes!

Art+collage+3 The Gallery: Week 31 with prizes!

Two lucky entrants will have one of these original pieces of art hanging on their wall courtesy of Art Under A Monkey (meaning art for under £500 – get it?!)
The 12 pictures here are just a selection of the ones on offer to the winners. Check out their website to see full details of the art.
The new online art gallery has a gorgeous range of original, contemporary art, some of it aimed at children. And for every piece of children’s art sold, they make a donation to Kids Company (in fact even though they’re donating two pieces of art for this competition, they have still committed to make the usual donation these would attract).
I LOVE this prize!
This is just a selection of the art available to win. I will send a picture of all 20 to the winners so they can choose their prizes.

I should also add that this prize is not necessarily for the best photo: I’m looking for photo and story here. Just do what you always do . . .
And your judge? The winner of The Gallery’s last competition, the lovely Spudballoo who will pouring over your entries with her big beady eye . . .

Also if anyone would like a a £25 gift voucher to spend on the site, I have 10 to give away (yes give away) to the first 10 people to ask for one.

As always, come back on Wednesday to add your link, visit as many others as you can, say hi, discover new people, welcome them in when they discover you.
Appreciate the wonderful words and photos that are opening themselves up to you.
